Nokia yesterday at a press conference has launched the Lumia 525 smartphone in India for Rs 10,399. The device is now available for purchase from leading retailers across the country in four colors, including Orange, Yellow, White and Black. Lumia 525 is an upgrade to the popular Lumia 520 with double the RAM. The phone is now available for purchase from Nokia Shop and Snapdeal along with other leading online retailers.

Nokia Lumia 525 has 1GB of RAM compared to 512MB RAM of Lumia 520, which means that now you can have more games and apps running on your device. With the launch of Lumia 525, Nokia announced that customers will also get Gameloft games for free which will be available for free download on their device. The Gameloft titles available for free download includes Modern Combat 4, Asphalt 8, Assassin’s Creed, Shark Dash, N.O.V.A. 3, Asphalt 7, Order & Chaos, Earthworm Jim, Let’s Golf and Brain Challenge HD. The offer will be valid for subscribers on Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel, Reliance and Idea until March 31st, 2104.

Lumia 525 features a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) IPS LCD Display. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and runs Windows Phone 8 OS with Lumia Black Update. The phone features a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording capability. It comes with 8GB internal storage, microSD slot up to 64 and supports all standard connectivity features including 3G.
