ASUS has announced a low-cost tablet for those who are looking for a quality tablet at affordable cost. ASUS introduces MeMO Pad Android tablet as their latest offering at low-cost of $149. The tablet looks quite identical to Google Nexus 7 tablet that is being manufactured by ASUS.

MeMO Pad is much similar to Nexus 7 tablet in looks but has lower specs. It features 7-inch 10-point multi-touch LED display with resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels (170ppi) and wide 140-degrees viewing angles. The display also offers 350-nit brightness so you can view photos, videos and play games even in bright sunlight.

MeMO Pad tablet features Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, powered by 1GHz VIA WM8950 processor with Mali-400 GPU and 1GB RAM all together delivering a smooth user experience. The tablet also features a 1-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 720p HD video recording capability at 30fps.

MeMO Pad comes with 8 or 16GB internal storage with up to 32GB storage on microSD. The tablet also has microUSB port, G-Sensor and WiFi. It comes pre-loaded with few of ASUS applications, including SuperNote Lite, ASUS WebStorage with 5GB free storage, ASUS Studio, BuddyBuzz, MyPainter and MyBitCast. The tablet is equipped with 4,270mAh battery which ASUS claims will give 7 hours of battery life.

For a low-cost, the tablet has an elegant diamond-pattern finish on the back with a thin (11.2 mm) and light (370 g) design. The tablet will be available in the US market later this month for $149 in White, Gray and Pink colors. Would you like to buy this low-cost tablet from ASUS?
