Xperia Z spotted ahead of its unveiling at CES today

Sony Xperia Z

A tipster to Engadget has sent them a shot of Sony Xperia Z that we are expecting to be unveiled at the CES 2013. The tipster spotted the device early on Sony’s booth at the CES and took a shot of it. The photo confirms the existence of Xperia Z and now we are expecting Sony to make the announcement at their media event today at 5pm PST.

As per rumors Xperia Z will feature a 5-inch Full HD Reality display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution and 13-megapixel rear-facing Exmor RS camera with HDR photo and video capabilities. It is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with Adreno 320 graphics. The device is also rumored to have a water-resistant chassis and “Skeleton Frame Structure”, which we don’t know about yet. We also didn’t have any information on what version of Android the device will run, but we expect it to run the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.

It is also said in rumors that along with Xperia Z, Sony will also unveil Xperia ZL that will be a compact-version of Xperia Z with same specs, but we don’t expect that both the devices will have same internal specs.

We are now sure that we will get to see Xperia Z at the CES 2013 in Las Vegas and as soon as the device is unveiled we’ll tell you about it. So stay tuned and don’t forget to leave your comments below.
