Guys at SamMobile received a tip with a photo claimed to be a press shot of the next smartphone of Samsung’s Galaxy S series, the Galaxy S IV. SamMobile says that the tipster is an insider from Samsung. SamMobile is not taking the so claimed press shot as a legitimate one nor they are denying it. They say that the design is similar to that of Galaxy S III and Galaxy Premier, which suggests that the photo could be an authentic one.
We can see in the photo that the home button is missing and so are the navigational buttons. This means that there will be on-screen navigational and home-screen buttons. Some believe the press shot is fake saying that the home button is iconic to the Galaxy smartphones and Samsung will not remove the home button. There is a thinner bezel around the corner and a larger display.
We’ve already told our readers that Galaxy S IV is expected to have a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED full HD (1920 x 1080) display, a 2GHz quad-core Exynos processor, Mali T658 GPU, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean mobile OS.
As an update in the same report SamMobile says that one of their Korean member has an image of the Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2013 invitation. The image indicates March 4th, 2013 as the day when the Unpacked event will be held in Pyeongchang, Korea where Galaxy S IV will be unveiled. Nothing is confirmed until we hear something from Samsung, so stay tuned to know when the Galaxy S IV launches.
