Verizon’s version of Nokia Lumia 820, the Nokia Lumia 822 is now available for purchase for $99.99 on a two-year contract with qualifying voice and data plans. The phone is also available for the same price from Amazon Wireless. It is available in White, Black and Grey color variants.
Nokia Lumia 822 is equipped with a 4.3″ WVGA ClearBlack display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It features Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB RAM. Lumia 822 features a 5-megapixel autofocus camera on the back with Carl Zeiss Tessar Lens and dual-LED flash. The camera has a wide-angle lens with a large aperture of f/2.2 and is capable of recording HD 1080p videos at 30 fps. There is also a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and supports HD 720p video recording at 30 fps.
Lumia 822 supports wireless charging but unlike Lumia 820, it does not has interchangeable shells. The handset supports 4G LTE connectivity on Verizon’s network and features WiFi and Mobile Hotspot functionality. It comes with 16GB internal storage and a microSD slot for extended storage of up to 64GB. The device also supports Data Sense feature of Windows Phone 8 that lets you manage your data usage. It also supports Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and GLONASS, NFC and comes with full suite of Nokia Apps, including Nokia Drive+, Nokia City Lens, Nokia Maps, Nokia Music, Nokia App Highlights.
