Nokia today has announced their most affordable Windows Phone device – Lumia 510. Lumia 510 is an entry-level phone targeted for the audience who prefer to use a low cost smartphone. Being an entry-level phone, Lumia 510 has all the low-end specs. So. let’s give you details about the new Nokia Lumia 510.
Although being a latest Windows Phone device, it does not run the latest version of Windows Phone mobile operating system, instead it features older Windows Phone 7.5 while the Windows Phone 8 devices are on the edge to flood the market. This could be a strategy by Nokia to keep the price of the device lower.
Lumia 510 sports a large 4.0-inch Capacitive multi-touch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The device has the similar design and form factor of Lumia 610 and has dedicated camera and lock keys.
Being a Windows Phone 7.5 device, it as obvious features a single core processor, it features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S1 processor clocked at 800MHz. It comes with 256MB RAM and 4GB internal storage out of which only 2.88GB will be available to users. There is no microSD slot to expand the storage, but you will get 7GB of free cloud storage on SkyDrive from Microsoft.
Lumia 510 features a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with two-stage capture key and a wide aperture of f/2.4 to get more light into the camera to capture bright photos. You will also get mobile navigation apps from Nokia, namely Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive and Transport.
The phone comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office Mobile apps and Internet Explorer 9. It will be available in Cyan, Red, Yellow, Black and White colors.
