Sprint has announced on Thursday, July 12th that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for their version of Samsung Galaxy S II, Epic 4G is now rolling out. Sprint made this announcement on their Sprint Community.

The update is available over-the-air and will be downloaded automatically to the devices. After the download is complete users will be prompted to install the update, which will take a couple of minutes, during that time you will not be able to use the device.

The update is now rolling out to devices and all the Galaxy S II Epic 4G will receive the update by the end of next month. If you don’t want to wait for the notification to appear, you may go for the manual update. Go to Settings > About Phone > Software updates, and try pulling the update for your device.
