LG to launch Optimus 4X HD and Optimus L5 in India next week

TheMobileIndian has reported yesterday that LG India is going to launch two of their Android smartphone, Optimus 4X HD and Optimus L5, in India next week. Optimus 4X HD is a high-end device powered by a quad-core processor while Optimus L5 is a mid-range device from the L series lineup announced during the MWC 2012 in Barcelona.

Optimus 4X HD has a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and pixel density of 312 ppi. It runs on a 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor and a low-power GPU. It features an 8-megapixel autofocus camera on the rear with LED flash, capable of recording HD 1080p videos and also has a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat.

It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Optimus 3.0 UI and has been equipped with 1GB RAM for smoother performance. The phone has a very sleek design with only 8.9mm of thickness and weighs 133 grams. It comes with 16GB internal storage along with a microSD slot for external storage of up to 32GB. The phone also supports WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, DLNA and 3G. The phone has a 2150 mAh battery that can run for 9.5 hours of talk time of 3G.

LG Optimus L5

The mid-range Optimus L5 is equipped with a 4-inch display with a rather disappointing resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7225A processor and 512MB of RAM. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Optimus 3.0 UI. It features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and autofocus. It comes with 4GB internal storage with microSD slot for up to 32GB external storage. It supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G.

Optimus 4X HD is expected to launch for a retail price of Rs 32,000 while the expected retail price for Optimus L5 will be around 16,000.
