AT&T announced in a press release on Tuesday that they are going to make available for purchase the newest member of the Atrix family, Motorola Atrix HD, from July 15th for $99.99 on a two-year contract. The phone will arrive at all the AT&T stores and online at www.att.com on July 15th.

Motorola Atrix HD is one of the thinnest smartphones available in the market measuring only 8.4mm in thickness. It is made up of high-strength Kevlar material that can withstand any situation and also has an invisible nano-coating that protects the phone and the internal electrical circuits from water splashes.

Atrix HD is equipped with a 4.5-inch HD ColorBoost display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile OS. It features an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, capable of HD 1080p video recording. It also has a 1.3-megapixel front-facing HD camera for video chat.

The phone comes with 8GB internal storage with a microSD slot for up to 32GB external storage. It supports WiFi, Bluetooth, microUSB, microHDMI and 4G LTE connectivity. It has a 1,780mAh battery can run 9 hours of talk time on 4G.

Atrix HD comes pre-loaded with SMARTACTIONS app, that automatically changes the settings of the phone throughout the day to make life easier and give longer battery life. It is the first phone to feature Motorola’s Circle Widget, that connects to your AT&T account and shows you the data usage since your last bill.

Atrix HD is ideal to be used as a business phone, it comes with advance security features of password protection and government-grade data encryption for both the device and SD card. The phone has the ability to wipe out all the data from phone and SD card in case your phone is stolen.

For $99.99, the Motorola Atrix HD is a great deal with lots of features and can be considered to be a better option than some of the great smartphones available with the same price tag.
