Sony has already rolled out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for their Xperia S smartphone. Now the users of Xperia P must be waiting for their turn to get the flavor of Ice Cream Sandwich on their phone. Sony Mobile Italy said in reply to one of a user’s query on their Facebook page that the update for Xperia P is planned for early August.

Though the information has been posted on Facebook page for Sony Mobile Italy but when the update is released for Xperia P in Italy it is also expected that it will be released for other markets around the same time.

Sony previously said that Xperia P will follow after the roll-out of ICS update for Xperia S, which will be followed by Xperia U that is expected to receive the update in Q3 of this year.
