Rumor: Samsung planning to launch Windows RT based tablet in October

Bloomberg in a report said that Samsung is planning to launch a Windows RT based tablet at the time when Microsoft will debut their latest operating system in October. The tablet will be based on ARM architecture since Windows RT has been specifically made to support ARM based devices.
Samsung has been working on Windows based tablets supporting multiple versions of Microsoft’s flagship Windows operating system. They will launch tablets that will running Windows RT and Windows 8 in them. Windows 8 typically works on x86 based chips from Intel and AMD.
It is reported that Samsung’s Windows RT tablet will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor. Samsung’s is planning to launch tablets with multiple versions of Windows OS in order to challenge Apple’s iPad. Microsoft and Samsung did not comment on these reports, but if the reports are true then Samsung is the third device maker, apart for Acer and Asus, that will launch Windows RT based tablets.
