Samsung Canada in a press release on Friday, July 6th said that their Galaxy Tab 2 is now available for the Canadian market for $249 for Galaxy Tab 2 7″ 8GB and $349 for Galaxy Tab 2 10.1″ 16GB. The Galaxy Tab 2 line of tablets are entry-level tablets from Samsung. You may order Galaxy Tab 2 on BestBuy (7-inch, 10-inch).

Galaxy Tab 2 features 1GHz dual-core processor, runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It comes with 8GB internal storage for 7-inch model and 16GB for 10-inch model, along with a microSD slot for external storage of up to 32GB. It has a 3-megapixel camera with HD 1080p video recording capability. It supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB 2.0.

The Galaxy Tab 2 7″ has almost the same price as Nexus 7 tablet which is up for pre-order on BestBuy for $259.99. But doing a comparison between the two, we can say that Nexus 7 is a better deal because it features a faster processor and runs latest Jelly Bean version of Android mobile OS. The 10-inch variant of Galaxy Tab 2 is quite reasonable for a large screen tablet.
