Google Nexus 7 tablet to launch in India post Q3 of this year

Google Nexus 7

A recent report on The Mobile Indian claims that Google has no plans to launch their own-branded Nexus 7 tablet in India before the end of September. The Nexus 7 tablet announced at the Google I/O will be available in US, UK, Canada and Australia in July/August at a price equivalent to Rs 11,000.

Sources in ASUS told The Mobile Indian that “Google and Asus have no plans in place for India right now, and we will be able to announce that only post the 3rd quarter (ending September).” The Google Nexus 7 is the first tablet to feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile OS. It runs on 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB RAM and a dedicated GPU for graphics.

The low-cost and the high-end hardware specs will possibly make the Nexus 7 tablet a huge success in India where price is a huge factor when it comes to buying a gadget. Hopefully we will see the Nexus 7 tablet make its way to India in the Q3 of this year.
