Users of Motorola DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX have been waiting for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for so long. Earlier it was reported by reliable sources that the update would be rolled out on June 12th but Verizon denied such reports saying that it is not ready yet. But now the DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX users on Verizon are receiving alert via text that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich very soon.

Free Verizon Message: Your phone will soon be upgraded to Android 4.0. At that time we will remove your Verizon Wireless Mobile IM app because it is not supported on Android 4.0. Please download a new instant messaging app to use IM on your phone. Thank you for using Mobile IM!

Though Verizon is sending out messages to users about the Ice Cream Sandwich for the two of these Motorola devices, they have not specified a specific date for the release of the update.
