Samsung today launched their flagship device Galaxy S III today in India for an official price of Rs 43,180. The Indian version of Galaxy S III has the same specs that was unvealed during the Samsung Unpacked event in London earlier this month.

Samsung Galaxy S III features 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 4 Quad processor with 1GB RAM and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile OS with Samsung’s latest TouchWiz UI that has been named TouchWiz Nature UX.

It sports a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and zero shutter lag, and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and other intuitive functions like Smart Stay. The rear camera is capable of HD 1080p video recording.

Galaxy S III also features NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, S-Voice, S-Beam and more. The phone will be available in India only in 16GB variant, with an option to extend the storage up to 64GB via microSD slot. Currently the phone is available only in Marble White color, while the Pebble Blue color is expected to be available from next week.

Samsung also has tied up with Vodafone who will provide 3GB of free data to Vodafone customers for two months. Though the official price of the phone is set at Rs 43,180 but it is available online at the Samsung India eStore for Rs 42,500.

For everyone who make a purchase on or before June 3rd will get a Bluetooth headset worth Rs 2,299 for free. In addition to this, there is also an assured surprise gift worth Rs 1,499. Bluetooth headset will be shipped along with the phone while the surprise gift will be sent separately in the 2nd week of June.
