We have heard about a handful of Verizon Galaxy Nexus users who reported to have received an over-the-air Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 update with build number IMM76K. Now the users of Galaxy Nexus on Verizon are eager to get this update.
An XDA user managed to crack open the update enabling the users to download the update and install it manually. The download link that was available earlier was killed by Google but some of the users managed to create copies of the file and shared with us.
To know how to install the update on your Verizon Galaxy Nexus, view the step-by-step instructions at Droid-Life.
To install Android 4.0.4 (IMM76K), your Galaxy Nexus should be running Android 4.0.2 (ICL53F). If your phone is not running ICL53F or is running leaked 4.0.4 (IMM30B), you will need to install ICL53F first and then you will be able to install IMM76K.
