Pocket-lint today confirmed the roll-out of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for unlocked version Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone. Customers who purchased the Samsung Galaxy S II without any contract can get the update on their Galaxy S II via Samsung Kies.
Samsung UK told Pocket-lint in a statement that they have been working hard over the past few weeks to roll-out the Ice Cream Sandwich update to all the Samsung Galaxy S II users. They also mentioned that the ICS update for Orange and T-Mobile will follow as soon as possible.
To get the update you need to connect your Galaxy S II to a PC and check the firmware upgrade in Samsung Kies. Galaxy S II users on Orange and T-Mobile networks now won’t have to wait longer as the update is just round the corner and will be available real soon.
The update has already been rolled out for Galaxy S II on Three and O2 network.
