Toshiba on Wednesday confirmed the availability of their ultra-slim and light Android tablet – Excite 10 LE. The tablet will be available on March 6th for $530 for 16GB tablet and $600 for 32GB tablet, with select U.S. retailers across the country. The tablet originally called Excite X10, was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012.
The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB LPDDR2 RAM running Android 3.2 Honeycomb mobile OS. Toshiba promised the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the tablet in Spring. The tablet sports a 10.1-inch display and features a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Excite 10 LE is the world’s thinnest and lightest tablet. It also includes MicroSD slot, Micro USB, WiFi, Bluetooth, Stereo speakers with sound enhancements and a Micro HDMI port.
