A Japanese blog Macotakara reported that they received information on the iPhone 5 release date from a reliable source and claimed that the phone is due for release in September or October this year. MacRumors also claims of being tipped by a representative of a supplier, known to provide parts for the iPhone, pointing toward a launch of new hardware in September. The report also claims that Apple is planning to stay on this timeframe of Sept-Oct for future iPhone launches.
Another source of iMore claimed an October launch for LTE enabled iPhone 5. It was the same source having claimed accurately March 7 as the launch date of iPad 3.
Previous reports claimed the June launch of the phone at Apple’s World Wide Developers’ Conference 2012 (WWDC 2012) in San Francisco. The June launch of iPhone 5 will result in a very short lifecycle of only eight months for iPhone 4S. It is believed that the phone will be launched by Apple in September or October.
